Status of Herbicide Resistance in Colorado - Sarah Ward : January, 2014

The biggest concern in Colorado right now is glyphosate-resistant kochia, especially as ALS-resistant kochia is widespread, dicamba resistant kochia is also present in the state. and it's highly likely that kochia populations with stacked multiple resistances are out there. There have also been sporadic reports of possible glyphosate resistance in lambsquarters. We are seeing a few Palmer amaranth populations moving into Colorado, which is a concern given the known frequency of resistance in this species.
